There are definitely some stories that I recognize and I am intrigued to see if any of the story lines have gotten changed depending on the place it was written or the culture it has. The British and/or Celtic Unit has some familiar titles and the Classical and/or Biblical Unit has the Greek Mythology stories. I am very excited to read the European units because Crane is a Brother's Grimm, but it has Cinderella and Snow White stories which will be fun to read and see the similarities and differences from my childhood memories of the stories. The Italian Fairy Tales also have childhood stories like Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty which will have similarities and differences as well. It seems like this class has a huge load of readings, but there is a lot to choose from and they all seem like they could hold my interest.
